LESSON 6: IT ENTERS A NEW LEARNING ENVIRONMENT It is most helpful to see useful models of learning that is ideal to achieving instructional goals through preferred application of Educational Technology. These conceptual  models consists of: Meaningful Learning, Discovery Learning, Discovery Learning, Generative Learning and Constructivism. I. Meaningful Learning        Meaningful learning refers to the concept that the learned knowledge (lets say a fact) is fully understood by the individual and that the individual knows how that specific fact relates to other stored facts (stored in your brain that is).  II. Discovery Learning      Discovery Learning is differentiated from reception (meeting point of meaningful and discovery learning) in which ideas are presented to students in a well-organized way, such as through detailed set of instructions to complete an experiment. Ever recalled why you are so nervous, yet very excited in doing experiments? It is because of th

LESSON 5: STATE OF-THE-ART ET APPLICATION PRACTICES  This lesson talks about the recent changes occurred in the area of pedagogical theory and practice of Educational Technology. Wherein, the trends and new levels of learning require the appropriate use of state-of-the art instruction with the use of IT, tapping the computer’s information and communication tools (such as, word processors, databases, spreadsheets, presentation software, email, Internet conferencing, etc.). Moreover, it also tackles the obstacles to IT pedagogical practice especially for educators living in developing or peasant economies. Wherein, objections are likely to be heard such as that the use of computer is time consuming and expensive. Along the danger of a technology-centered classroom with the fear that computer may soon replace teachers. Lastly, the systematic instructional planning process is presented in the lesson. SELF – HELP Fill – in what are needed in the following classroom situation

LESSON 4: BASIC CONCEPTS ON INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY IN INSTRUCTION There is a lingering issue on how educational technology is integrated in the teaching learning process. This is due to the fact that the mere use of the computers does not mean technology has already been integrated in instruction. Here are some external manifestations of technology integration into instruction: There's a change in the way classes are traditionally conducted. The quality of instruction is improved to a higher level in such a way that could not have been achieved without educational technology. There is planning by the teacher on the process of determining how and when technology fits into the teaching learning process. The teacher sets instructional strategies to address specific instructional issues/ problem. The use of technology provides the opening of opportunities to respond to these instructional issues/ problem. SELF - HELP Create a grid to differentiate technology -
Lesson 3: Educational Technology in the Asia Pacific Region To provide confidence to educators that they are taking the right steps in adopting technology in education, it is good to know that during the last few years, progressive countries in the Asia Pacific region have formulated state policies and strategies to infuse technology in schools. Lesson 2: An overview: Educational Technology 2 Educational technology 2 is concerned with “Integrating Technology into Teaching and Learning”. This focused on introducing, reinforcing, supplementing and extending the knowledge and skills to learners so that they can become exemplary users of educational technology. Objectives of Educational Technology 2: ·                 To provide education in the use of technology in instruction by providing knowledge and skills on technology- integration-in-instruction to learners.          To impart learning experiences in instructional technology- supported instructional planning          To acquaint students on Information Technology or IT- related learning theories with the computer as tutor.          To learn and to use and evaluate computer-based educational resources. SELF-HELP 1.    Make a ladderized diagram (like a stairway) with summary words of the learning objectives of educational technology course.

Lesson 1: A review of Educational Technology I Educational Technology I showed the four phases of application of educational technology in teaching-and-learning namely: 1.        Setting of Learning Objectives 2.        Designing specific learning experiences 3.        Evaluating the effectiveness of the learning experiences vis-ẚ-vis the learning objectives 4.        Revision as needed of the whole teaching- learning process, or elements of it, for further improving future instructional activities. In sum, educational technology I served to uplift and impart human skills and learning through the use of learning and applying technology. SELF – HELP Fill in the graphic organizer to summarize learning outcomes derived from Educational Technology I. LEARNING OUTCOMES OF ET I: REFLECTION 1.        Discuss the disparity in educational technology advancement in schools of industrialized First World Country (such as the U.S., Japan, Singa
